The senior special assistant to the president, Garba Shehu had on Monday June 15 admitted that some presidential aides travel only when it is necessary and after they have been permitted by security operatives at checkpoints
Shehu countered the view that the presidency disobeys the directives of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) by embarking on interstate travel.
Shehu stated that when the need becomes imperative and convincing, people can offer themselves at the checkpoints for consideration and if granted could proceed on their journey. This happens all over the country, he said
He accentuated the presidency’s compliance to what the NCDC and ministry of health prescribe. The only difference is that there is an eye on everyone in the Villa.
