Imo State Governor-Elect, Senator Hope Uzodinma and his Deputy ; Professor Placid Njoku of the All Progressive Congress, APC, will be sworn-in today (Wednesday 15th January, 2020) by the Chief Judge of Imo State by 1pm.
So, that is to say, there will be a press briefing by the new Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma.
Chief Uzodinma was yesterday pronounced Governor-Elect by the unanimous judgement of 7-man panel of justices of the Supreme Court of Nigeria after the nullification of the election of Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as Governor of Imo State
Meanwhile, former Governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Anayo Okorocha had assured the new governor maximum support. “I will support you”
According to a release from Imolites News Platform, “The immediate-past governor of Imo state and Senator representing Imo West Senatorial District, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, has congratulated Senator Hope Uzodinma over his victory at the Supreme Court which declared him the elected governor of the state.
“Okorocha also congratulated the APC members in Imo state for the victory. He said all hands should be on deck to support the new governor. Okorocha also assured Uzodinma of his unflinching support.”
