Akwa Ibom Govt Set To Train 10,000 Youths On Technology & Others Skills:

Mr. Ime Uwah, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Marketing & Brand Management, on 31th of December 2019 has intimated the youths of the State on jobs creation opportunity scheduled for year 2020 through technology and other employable skills.

Mr Uwah made this known at the 2019 Youth End of Year Celebration at Christ the King Primary school in Uyo.

He said; “For 2020, in partnership with organizations such as SMEDAN, Google, NIIT, LEAP Africa, FATE Foundation we will provide soft and employability skills training and certification for not less than 10,000 youths in the State.”

Uwah also stated that the Directorate of Marketing and Brand Management of the Governors Office, will actualize the dream through the already existing My Entrepreneurship Goals Programme (MEGP) platform and other new social engagement initiatives scheduled for the year 2020.

Micbloggy News recalls that is was the day that the “Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Trade and Investment, Mr. Prince Ukpong Akpabio unveiled Ibom Business Clinic and Empowerment Initiative of 3,000 youths at the end of the Year Get Together with Governor Udom Emmanuel.”

He called on the youths to take advantage of the opportunity offered by the State Government to enable them strategise for a greater economic future and development in Akwa Ibom state.
