Unknown Gunmen Kidnap Foreigner In Osun State:

Tragedy storms Osun State as Unknown gunmen allegedly kidnapped three Chinese Expatriates carrying out their professional duty at a mining site in Ijoka village near Itagunmodi in Atakumosa West Area of Osun State.


MicBloggy news reports that the gunmen stormed the site on Monday afternoon and exchanged unstoppable gunshots with the police team serving as security personnel for the Chinese and thereafter killed one police officer before they could carry out the kidnap operation.

Furthermore, It was gathered that a Chinese expatriate who tried to escape from the gunmen was shot and injured. The expatriate is currently at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, Ile-Ife, receiving proper medical treatment to help preserve his life. As at when this news was reported MicBloggy news correspondent learnt that the Police Commissioner in Osun State, Abiodun Ige, led detectives to the scene of the kidnap incident.


Speaking to newsmen, CP Ige disclosed that operatives of the Nigeria police are already in the bushes in search of the abductors.The commissioner of police of the Osun jurisdiction Recall that gunmen had on May 2018, kidnapped the traditional ruler of the gold-rich Itagumodi, the Alagunmodi, Oba Michael Ojo Famadewa. A ransom of N1.7 million had to be paid before Oba Michael Ojo regained his freedom from the Kidnappers.
