An Ijaw respected leader has made a firm case for Igbo
presidency pursuit in 2023.
A former president of Ijaw National Congress, Prof Okoko has stated that 2023 presidency should be left for the Igbo’s alone.
Okoko stated that the pursuit by some northerns to retain presidential power is a provocative act.
Former president of the Ijaw National Congress stated that for peace to reign, no
other region should come out for the 2023 presidency.
The respected professor revealed this when Daily Sun visited him.
“I will not support the idea of a northerner, south-south, southwest or a Middle Belt person to become the president come 2023.
“I will only support an Igbo man to become the president and it has to happen, if we truly love this country.
According to our source Prof Okoko criticised and blamed the the government for mismanagement of resources in all angles, adding that the country is not practicing real Federalism at all! Okoko stated that the state is not doing well in the sense that are not in good control of their resources which is affecting development in Nigeria “There will be no successful management of our resources, if we do not restructure this country. If restructuring was not the problem of Nigeria, but the management of her resources, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been in power for three years, how have they been able to manage our resources,” he asked.
