As Nigeria continue to battle with crime in every angle but seems the state is not doing that a her primary responsibility.
Ibrahim Magu, the acting Chairman of Economic and
Financial Crimes Commission, revealed on Thursday that mothers of yahoo fraudsters are now forming an association as gathered by the Punch news.
Addressing journalists on Thursday at EFCC Lagos
office in Ikoyi, the acting chairman revealed that parents now justify their children’s deeds with the believe that they are now helping their families.
He therefore appeal to parents as well as the media, to fight against cybercrime by exposing them and stop encouraging them by celebrating their wealth.
He charged the yahoo boys to channel their intelligence and talents to deeds that would benefit the nation.
Magu revealed that EFCC premises are now littered with recovered vehicles. He also said that plans have commenced to auction them and also recover houses.
“We are prepared and will keep on arresting and arraigning them. We are also thinking of means to help them so that they can be useful to themselves and the country at large. These are young and vibrant citizens that can use their intellect to better the country.
