Having already played in two Champions League finals for Liverpool, Arnold is set to make his 100th appearance
for the club on Saturday and has now set his sights on the captain’s armband.
He revealed in an
interview with BBC that being Liverpool’s captain is a dream he wants to actualize.
“I am not in the position to chose who will be captain and whether it comes true or not, its not up to me.
“revealing that it is something he would love to achieve one day. He said that, captaining Liverpool is what motivates him and also a dream for him.
Arnold who grew up in the city, entered the club’s academy when he was just six years revealed that he has no intentions playing football elsewhere.
Liverpool has always been my home and staying here makes me a happy person therefore, I cannot see myself swapping this great club.
“When I was little, the dream has always been to be a Liverpool player. Now I am living that dream and hopefully, will captain the team one day.
Liverpool face Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday.
