Only God Is Supreme-Atiku Reacts To The Supreme Court Rejection Of His Appeal:

The Presidential election of the federal republic of Nigeria has come and gone but the outcome and results is like a dream to some of the contestants like Atiku Abubakar. To him, it was a colossal disappointment to the people based on his reactions towards his legal actions.

Our source reports (Vanguard Newspapers) that the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the concluded general election, has reacted to the way his appeal was dismissed by the country’s highest court on Wednesday for lacking merits.

Atiku, 72 years old, described the verdict of the court as one of the challenges Nigeria must survive.

“I believe that only God is supreme and only Nigerians are infallible in our democracy, we must accept that the judicial course i took as a democrat has ended” Atiku wrote on his Twitter page just hours after the
Court sealed his fate

The verdict ended an eight month legal battle since the
presidential election on February.

The PDP Presidential candidate challenged the victory of President Buhari at the Presidential Election Tribunal and also at the Supreme Court, after describing the result as a shame.

APC’s Buhari won 56 percent vote against PDP’s 41
percent, the electoral commission revealed in February, but with just 35.6 turnout compared with 44 percent in 2015.

Atiku Abubakar claimed at the tribunal that the election was characterized by irregularities and also said that he got more votes than Buhari making him Atiku Abubakar, the actual winner of the election.

But the tribunal and the Supreme Court rejected Abubakar’s efforts to
overturn the result of the poll.
