PDP Women wing in Imo State Congratulates Gov. Ihedioha For his Victory at the Tribunal:

The Women wing of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo has hailed Gov. Emeka Ihedioha’s victory at the election tribunal.

Imo PDP women leader, Mrs Maria Mbakwe made the
commendation known in her congratulatory message while speaking with journalists in Owerri on Monday.

She described the victory as a validation of the people’s will.

She also expressed confidence that the victory will enable the governor quicken the route of development in the state.

Five People Rescued from Kidnappers in Osun State:

Five people including those kidnapped by Fulani herdsmen in Ajeoku Village, Osun State have been rescued.

Two abductees, that were heading towards Osogbo were shot and are currently receiving treatment at a
private hospital in Imesi Ile.

A security source whose identity preferred not to
be known said those rescued were three siblings and two others.

Four males and a lady are still being held, the source added.

Cult Members have been arrested by the Nigerian army in Maidugri:

Nigerian Army yesterday arrested a gang of cultists suspected to engage in armed robbery and kidnapping in Maiduguri.

Their arrest were made possible following credible information received from well- meaning individuals.

The cultists were to perform an initiation on new members when the Army and other securities stormed their hideout in Maiduguri.

Their attempt to flee and escape arrest was
unsuccessful as they were overwhelmed by the troops around.

Zim Media Unveils the cause of Mugabe’s death:

Robert Mugabe had advanced cancer when he died on September 6; Zimbabwe media reported on Monday.

The former leader died, aged 95.

He came into power at the end of white minority rule in 1980 and ruled Zimbabwe for 37 years and seven months uninterrupted.

His health deteriorated after the ousting and he had to travel to Singapore regularly for treatment.

40 Fuel Stations Sealed by DRP in Nasarawa State:

40 filling stations has been sealed by Department of Petroleum Resources from January to date for different offences.

DPR Operation Comptroller, Alhaji Abdulrahaman Muhammad Bima revealed this on Monday to
News Agency of Nigeria in Lafia.

The offences includes
under-delivery, diversion of product, lack of
safety and other serious offences.

He said “The filling stations affected, includes both major and independent petroleum marketers across the 13 Local Government of the State.”

Nigerian Army Sacked Three Soldiers for Kidnapping:

Nigerian Army revealed on Sunday that it has dismissed three soldiers arrested with a kidnapping gang in the Maiduguri.

While handing over the dismissed soldiers to the police in Maiduguri Maj. Gen. Olusegun Adeniyi, the Theatre Commander, Operations made this known.

He revealed that the were arrested with suspects by a
patrol team, early hours on Sunday at a building in Maiduguri.

He added that the soldiers were dismissed in accordance with the military
procedures.

He warned that the army will never condone criminals in its fold.

School Children killed in Classroom Collapse in Nairobi:

Seven classroom children died and dozens injured when their classroom collapsed today in Nairobi.

The government spokesman said at the scene that “it can confirm seven death so far and 57 children currently receiving treatment in the hospital.”

A source said that the building collapsed shortly after the pupils entered the classroom.
